Client case study · AI automation · USA

From zero to indexed: building organic search presence for a US AI automation company in a competitive market.

Quick answer

Between May and September 2026, GliscoLab took a US-based AI agent development company from a mid-migration site with no organic presence to 87 pages indexed, 6,290 impressions, 158 clicks, and 487 queries in Google Search Console, with 16 geo markets live across five countries. The client is anonymised throughout; every number below is sourced from their Search Console and GA4 properties.

02 · Where they started: the brief.

When this client came to GliscoLab, they were mid-migration, moving from a legacy CMS to a custom headless frontend. The organic search presence was effectively zero. The new site was not yet live, the content architecture did not exist, and there was no strategy in place for a highly competitive AI niche.

The challenge

  • Building search presence from scratch in a market dominated by well-funded AI companies
  • No site architecture, no keyword mapping, no content system, no internal linking
  • Tech migration in progress: new site not live, creating a moving target throughout execution
  • No geo presence despite serving 12 US cities plus Middle East markets
  • No structured data, no schema, no entity clarity for search and AI systems
  • No blog or editorial content: zero topical authority signals
  • Case studies existed as unindexed PDFs: no SEO value despite strong proof content

03 · What we did: the workstreams.

GliscoLab operated across six parallel workstreams simultaneously from May 2026.

3A — Technical SEO foundation

The technical layer was the first priority. Without a clean technical foundation, no content or authority work would produce ranking results.

3E — AI SEO and GEO/AEO optimisation

GliscoLab treats AI search visibility as an extension of technical and content quality. Every page was engineered to be readable, extractable, and attributable by AI search systems including Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, and generative discovery surfaces.

GEO/AEO in practice.

  • Answer-first content architecture: direct answers near the top of every page
  • Entity disambiguation: every page clearly states who the client is, what category, what they do, which markets
  • Concise extraction blocks ("What is X", "Best for", "How it works", "Step-by-step", "Compared with") built into every page
  • Schema architecture across Organization, WebSite, Service, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList, and LocalBusiness
  • Organization schema: name, URL, description, founding date, areas served, logo, contact point, social profiles all populated
  • LocalBusiness schema: active on the Middle East page, activated on Canada and Mexico in September 2026
  • Meta descriptions engineered as answer-first summaries: entity + service + market in the first 10 words

05 · How we work: the operating system.

The results above come from a daily operating rhythm, not a monthly report. This is the same system GliscoLab runs on every retained engagement.

Daily cadence

  • Daily task cards, structured by department, with previous-day feedback
  • Tasks assigned with exact file naming, Drive folder path, submission format
  • EOD report due 6:30 PM: Task / Owner / Status / Location table
  • All submissions as live Google Docs: no uploads, no email attachments
  • Blog publishing: 1–2 per week to the developer, no batching

Quality controls

  • Brand casing verified before any doc reaches the developer
  • Every blog reviewed for intent match and GEO/AEO structure
  • Technical fixes checked against GSC before and after
  • Developer coordination via structured implementation documents
